We understand and we care – it’s been very difficult for many

e are an independent insurnace broker in the State of California #0588228 (any many other States) As brokers, we work for “our clients” and we are not employees of any Insurance Carriers. Through independent agency contracts, we are allowed to , within the agency agreement, shop and compare insurance on your behalf. We have been doing this service to the public since 1996.

The Homewners insurnace market in California has become financially burdensome for so many.

Should you decide to call upon us to become your insurance broker we will shop with as many insurance carriers as “possible and practical” by the process of an underwriting review of “your” particular need.

For many homeowners the only viable option is the “California Fair Plan – plus a Difference in Conditions” policy. This means you will need two policies to come ” close to what a tradiional homeowners policy is today“. We are appointed independent broker with the California Fair Plan. We are not an exclusive broker. We are one of many brokers. You can view their site at this online location by clicking here.

But they are not the only option all of the time.

As the homeowners market evolves due to the dynamics of the marketplace, we strive to gain agency contracts with new carriers entering into the California homeowners insurance marketplace and returning insurance carriers too.

The piece does a good job of explaining why many California homeowners now need a California Fair Plan policy paired with a Difference in Conditions policy, and that coverage isn’t bound by completing the intake questionnaire. The photo requirement for the Fair Plan quote is also useful to know, since it can speed up the process.

Since coverage isn’t bound by the intake questionnaire, it would help to clarify what homeowners should expect after submitting it, especially if quote approval can take up to three working days and depends on photos showing the home’s displayed numbers for the California Fair Plan.

It’s helpful that the post explains how the California FAIR Plan plus a Difference in Conditions policy may be the only practical route for many homeowners, and that coverage isn’t bound by the intake questionnaire. The note about quote timelines and the photo requirement for the FAIR Plan also sets realistic expectations.

The California homeowners insurance market has indeed become extremely difficult, and the California Fair Plan plus a Difference in Conditions policy is often the only realistic path for many homeowners. It’s helpful that you explain the need for two policies to approximate traditional coverage, and being an appointed but non-exclusive Fair Plan broker gives clients more options. The note about needing photos of the home with visible address numbers is a practical detail that could save time during underwriting.

It sounds like the California homeowners insurance market has become incredibly challenging for many people. The Fair Plan plus a Difference in Conditions policy structure seems like a real burden—having to manage two separate policies just to approximate traditional coverage. It’s helpful that brokers like this one shop across multiple carriers to find options, though it’s telling that for many homeowners the Fair Plan is the only viable path right now.

It sounds like the California homeowners insurance market has become really challenging, especially with the Fair Plan often being the only viable option. It’s good to know there are independent brokers who can shop around on behalf of clients rather than being tied to a single carrier. The two-policy approach (Fair Plan plus a Difference in Conditions) to approximate traditional coverage is an important detail for homeowners to understand.

The California homeowners insurance market has indeed become increasingly challenging, especially with wildfire risks driving many carriers to limit their exposure. The FAIR Plan as a last-resort option paired with a Difference in Conditions policy is a reality many homeowners now face, though coverage gaps remain a real concern. It’s helpful that independent brokers can shop multiple carriers rather than being tied to a single company, since availability and pricing can vary significantly between insurers. The requirement for photos with visible house numbers for Fair Plan quotes is a practical underwriting step given the need for property verification in high-risk zones.

The California homeowners insurance landscape has indeed become incredibly challenging, especially with wildfire risks driving so many carriers out of the state. It’s helpful that independent brokers like this one can shop multiple options, including the Fair Plan, rather than being tied to a single carrier. The two-policy approach (Fair Plan plus Difference in Conditions) is becoming an unfortunate reality for many homeowners just to get close to traditional coverage.
